Prominent figures from the worlds of finance, business and technology are attending the Future Investment Initiative conference today in Saudi Arabia , as the kingdom seeks to attract foreign funds to help with its plans to transform its economy away from oil.

Moderna CEO Stephane Bancel, BlackRock CEO Lawrence Fink, Blackstone CEO Stephen Schwarzman and Alphabet CEO Ruth Porat were among the high-profile figures who took part in a panel discussion at the Future Investment Initiative conference in the Saudi capital.

The conference is an opportunity for attendees to build relationships with some of Saudi Arabia’s biggest companies and the $925 billion Public Investment Fund.
