Official Chinese media reported that Elon Musk’s plan includes a meeting with Ren Hongbin, the government official who heads the Chinese Council for the Development of International Trade, which is the organizing body for the currently held Beijing Auto Show.
Chinese companies competing with Tesla, such as Xpeng, are seeking to outperform the American company by offering software similar to what Tesla offers in its cars.
