UAE has announced the launch of a high-speed rail project linking the capital, Abu Dhabi, with the Emirate of Dubai, allowing individuals to easily travel between Abu Dhabi and Dubai in a period of no more than 30 minutes, at a maximum speed of 350 kilometers per hour, passing through the most prominent strategic destinations and tourist attractions.
According to the Emirates News Agency, the high-speed rail is expected to add about AED 145 billion to the gross domestic product, within the next five decades, according to what it stated.
The high-speed rail project between Abu Dhabi and Dubai is a qualitative step that contributes to strengthening the UAE’s position as a leading destination in the field of smart transportation by developing a sustainable transportation system and upgrading its infrastructure, relying on the latest innovative technical solutions in line with national trends to achieve a balance between the path of sustainable economic development and environmental preservation, and to achieve the goals of the “Strategic Initiative for Climate Neutrality 2050”.
The high-speed train provides rapid transportation between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, reducing daily commuting time, which will contribute to improving the quality of daily life for citizens, residents and visitors, in addition to strengthening economic and social ties between Emiratis, investing in infrastructure to support business development efforts and opening new horizons for investment opportunities in the logistics and tourism sectors, and other vital areas that support economic progress to build a more sustainable future for future generations.
