Saudi Aramco announced the signing of agreements with key Chinese partners during a high-level Chinese delegation visit to the Kingdom led by Chinese Premier Li Changchun.

According to a statement by Aramco on Wednesday, the agreements reinforce the company’s ongoing contributions to China’s long-term energy security and development, while China’s participation supports the Kingdom’s economic growth and strengthens cooperation in developing new technology.

The agreements include preliminary documents on a development framework agreement with Rongsheng Petrochemical Co., Ltd. (Rongsheng), and a strategic cooperation agreement with Hengli Group Co., Ltd.

Mohammed Al-Qahtani, President of Saudi Aramco’s Refining, Chemicals and Marketing, said: “The signing of these agreements underscores our belief in the long-term mutual benefits that can arise from close cooperation between Saudi Aramco and our Chinese partners. China is an important country in our global refining, chemicals and marketing growth strategy, and we look forward to building on our relationship that spans more than three decades to unlock new opportunities in this important market.”
