The Saudi Export Development Authority, “Saudi Exports,” is participating under the identity of “Saudi Industry” in the GITEX exhibition in Dubai, held during the period from 16 to 20 October, with a pavilion that includes 38 Saudi companies working in the field of communications and information technology, showcasing the most prominent innovations and competing technical solutions.
The participation of “Saudi Exports” comes as a continuation of its role in highlighting national products and services in specialized international forums, which would enhance the Kingdom’s exports to promising markets. Participation will also contribute to expanding the scope of the work of national companies by linking exporters with potential buyers, and promoting technical solutions and innovations. At an exhibition considered the third largest technology exhibition in the world.
Participation in an international exhibitions is one of a series of services provided by “Saudi Exports” to achieve its efforts aimed at raising the percentage of non-oil exports to about 50% of the non-oil gross domestic product by 2030, according to SPA.
It is noteworthy that the Kingdom’s non-oil exports to the United Arab Emirates, during the past five years amounted to 177.7 billion riyals, in which the automobile sector occupied the list of exported sectors with a total value of 9.8 billion riyals, followed by the heavy machinery and electronics sector with a total value of 9.3 billion riyals. Then the petrochemical sector, recording a total value of 8.8 billion riyals.
