The Chinese ُE-commerce giant Alibaba Group announced that it informed Turkish President Erdogan that it plans to invest two billion dollars in the country, while Erdogan invited billionaire Elon Musk to open a factory for his company “Tesla” in Turkey. The company’s president, Michael Evans, said – in statements during a meeting with Erdogan – that Alibaba invested $1.4 billion in Turkey through its Trendyol unit, one of the most famous e-commerce platforms in Turkey. The Turkish President is visiting the United States to attend the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly. Trendyol – whose president Erdogan also met – said that Evans shared details about new investments, such as establishing a data center, another for logistics services in Ankara, and a third for export operations at Istanbul Airport.
